Round 2 For The Wolf Household

So Ezra woke this morning with the raspy voice and seal like bark luckily we were able to get an appointment for this afternoon. Poor baby hasn't sleep for more than an hour at a time. ** Had to wait an hour to be seen and then another 10 mins in the room until we finally saw the doctor.** We walked away with Ezra having the croup and an ear infection. Round two for the Wolf household :(

On the bright side, Ezra weighed 13lbs and 5.5 Oz.  that's  1 lbs 9 oz in three days!!  Praise the Lord!!

Acid Reflux...still no better!!

Today I scheduled another appointment for Ezra because I felt like the medicine they have him on doesn't seem to be working and I don't like the idea of giving him that much medicine to begin with.  The base clinic is a joke to begin with.  Don't get me wrong I am very thankful that we have the health care that we do but sometimes I wish we had the ability to go off base to see whatever doctors we see fit.  This new doctor was filling in for one of the doctors I really like and she was extremely CONDESCENDING!!  She acted as if I had done nothing and was in there explaining myself for my health.  I finally lost it on here.  In the 7 years that I have been a faithful, devoted Christian I have not lost it on someone like that!!  She made me feel as if I was the incompetent one and that somehow I just needed to suck it up that my kid may not get better!

What bothered me the most was that in two months Ezra had only gained 2 lbs.  I was worried that he may not be getting all the nutrients that he needs.  She basically told me that she didn't know what else "they" could do for him and that sometimes it just doesn't get better.  I am sorry I don't believe it's normal for your child to projectile vomit after feedings!!  At this appointment he weight 12 lbs. 10 oz.

Finally I told her that if she did not do something that I was going in the hallway and asking for someone's someone.  She finally gave me a referral to see a Ped's GI in Lubbock, TX.  I just could not accept her audacity!  Some people!!

ER on the 4th of July

Ended up n the ER with Noah after a day of seal barking coughs and problems trying to catch his breath.  It was crazy how last night it seemed to start out of nowhere.  We did the steam shower inhalation trick which seemed to help until the morning.  We allowed him to play outside for just a little while and his seal bark coughing came back but this time he seemed as if he couldn't catch his breath.  When I got to the ER they took us back immediately and it was a good thing they did.  His pulse rate was high and his O2 is lower than they like with a 102 fever again so they are monitored him until his levels are better.
We left with a diagnoses of possible strep throat, ear infection and upper respiratory infection.
He kept asking to go bye bye...smart kid thinking if he takes it off he can leave
