Thankful Day 30

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24

I am thankful for the NGJ ministry. I emailed them to thank them for sending Bo he's military package and but was sad to have never received mine. I explained that I did not want to seem ungrateful but when your stationed overseas you are very limited to Christian resources of any kind. I got an email from the Assistant General Manager of No Greater Joy Ministries and he said that they would be mailing me mine out on the next shipment! I am so EXCITED!!!! What a blessing to email this company and actually get a response back. It just goes to show that they actually care about their readers.

Thankful Days 24-29

Thankful Day 24: that I have a Godly husband who takes as much free time has he has to spend quality time with his family. Noah loves for either Bo or I to read to him out of his bible. It's so sweet! I love little moments like this!

Thankful Day 25: that I come from a country where the brave fight to retain what our forefathers put in place. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Be thankful today for what you have and complain not about what you do not have.

Thankful Day 26: that we have friends who have grown into family. Spent the day with the Cooke family on an outing to Mantiago so Bo and Brandon could go to the knife store and get amazing quality knives for some of our family members. Leah and I wanted to walk around the local area as the guys "shopped" but it began to snow really hard so we waited in the car with all the babies. After what seemed forever the guys came back with Kabobs ( a greek meat and veggie pita) which made our wait all the while. We are so happy and blessed to have this family in our lives!

Thankful Day 27: another wonderful family that we have been blessed with is the Hickman household. We went and had dinner with them Saturday night and fellowshipped with a new couple that had recently joined our church. Shane and Renee have been like an Aunt and Uncle to Noah. Family is so important to Bo and I and to have the friends that we do that can help fill that gap b/w our family here and the family way across the ocean is such a blessing!

Thankful Day 28: days just to enjoy our family =) love the time when you can curl up on the couch with the hubby as the babies are napping and watch a movie. It was my turn to choose the movie so I chose Gone With the Wind. Bo actually really likes that movie, so much that we like to pretend we are those "old fashioned" actors and Bo will grab me in his arms and say lines from the movie that Rhett Butler said to Scarlett O'Hara. I love our silly sweet romance =)

Thankful Day 29: our local church. We have been attending this church for a year and a half and are so thankful we found it. We spent the first year and a half trying out other local churches and could never really find a place that we could call home. Thank you Calvary Baptist Church for being a place that we can go and fellowship with other believers and most important hear the word of God preached!

Thankful Day 23

Today I am thankful hot water and heat. Bo and I am came home last night after doing TONS of laundry at the laundry mat to try and catch up so that we can begin packing and sorting in hopes of getting on the rotator in a few weekends. To come home and find no hot water nor heat. The maintenance man came out this morning and "fix" the heater and hot water which is the same component. After leaving Bo woke me up to let me know everything had been fixed and that I could go and take a shower, only to my surprise there was no hot water pressure. We had heat but no hot water pressure. Bo had to call the maintenance supervisor again and they had to send someone else back out. I was already going to be late for picking up Tiffany N. for ladies bible study so I called her up so to see if I could just take a shower at her house and her graciously enough allowed me and Noah to do so. So praise the Lord when I go home this afternoon from dropping Tiffany off I came home to hot water and heat!

When you eat, breath and live military it's very hard to forget that there is still a war going on and I am thankful for all those who have... chosen to stand for what they believe in and that's this country!!! Once again I am proud to be the wife of a United States Airman! ♥

Thankful Days 8 & 9 Catchup

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12

I am thankful for my mama and daddy! The Lord has more than blessed me with two people who will and have gone to the ends of the earth for me! Always there, always caring, always letting me just how much they love me. If I can ever be half the parents they are, I will be doing alright! Thank you guys! Love you!

Thankful Day 5

Today I am thankful for my son. I was told at a young age I would never be able to have children, then I lost two...then the Lord blessed me with the most wonderful gift outside of my salvation and husband, my son Noah. Everyday he shows me a new reason to believe in faith and that real miracles do happen. My life is better because he is in it. Psalm 127:3-5

Thankful Day 4

I am thankful my husband found his wallet. HEHE. I know this may sound silly or a bit ridiculous but just a few weeks ago Bo lost his wallet while we were in Verona. I didn't get angry nor did I last time. Things happen, what I really wanted to do was laugh but he was so angry at his self that I couldn't. The only places we went yesterday was Vehicle Inspection on base, Pass and ID and Church. Upon leaving the house for Church, Bo discovered that he had misplaced his wallet and couldn't find it. We automatically assumed that he lost it the same way he did in Padova ( city coming back from Verona.) Bo had placed his wallet in between his legs upon driving up to the toll both when he had not pulled up close he had to open the door and when he did so he turn his body towards the door and the wallet fell out of his lap and onto the ground. To make a long story short, a lady pulled up behind us, found the wallet and turned it in. The Italian police saw that Bo's military ID was in there and mailed it to our base.

So today when Bo go up (he's on mid's) he asked if I was up to going on base and retracing our steps to see if it could possibly still be on the ground. So we went to Pass and ID first because we called Vehicle Inspection and they looked around and said that they didn't see anything and would notify us if the wallet were to show up. So we drove over to Pass and ID and there was no wallet. Bo wanted to try and go to Vehicle Inspection and I told him there was no need, the person who helped us yesterday with our inspection SrA Metts said that she didn't see anything but he wanted to go back and see for his self.

I drove back over to Vehicle Inspection and dropped him off knowing that the wallet was not there and that it had probably fell out of his lap in the parking lot of Pass and ID just like it had in Padova. As I am watching him run into the Inspection shop I see him bend down and pick up something, mind you there is a car lifted on the lift. The reason Bo was able to find his wallet was because it had fallen down into the crack of the lift and when the lady looked for it earlier when we had called she couldn't see it because of the lift being down and covering it. Bo high-fived the lady and came running back to the Jeep waving his wallet in the air.

So today I am thankful that we serve a God that our provisions and prayers are always being met!

Thankful Day 1 & 2

So blessed and thankful to be a child of God!!! This time of year is always my favorite because Bo and I have 3 anniversaries. 2 weddings and 1 rebirth. Proverbs 3:5 is my absolute favorite...God has blessed me with so much and though I try not to complain I know I do it more than I should! Little is much when God is in, and that means I am rich beyond measure.

Almost a year

So it's been almost a year since my last blog. My wonderful friend Tiffany helped me fix my blogging problems. It was mostly operator error but the blogspot has changed a bit since I last visited. I basically blog about our life on facebook but not in the detail I would like so I really wanted Tiffany to help me so that I could really be able to record all the things that I could one day look back on.

Noah is growing up so fast! He is trying to walk. He can pull his self up to the couch and basically anything that will hold him. He will be 10 months old in 11 days and I can hardly believe this much time has gone by. This will be our last big holidays left in Italy...very exciting thought considering we will be spending Christmas in the states with our family!!! YAY!!!!

For the month of November I have decided to follow the lead of some of my friends, by taking the month of November and posting something every day that I am thankful for. I have been blessed beyond measure and need to remind myself daily and count my many blessing one by one and this is a great way to do so!
