Thankful Day 4

I am thankful my husband found his wallet. HEHE. I know this may sound silly or a bit ridiculous but just a few weeks ago Bo lost his wallet while we were in Verona. I didn't get angry nor did I last time. Things happen, what I really wanted to do was laugh but he was so angry at his self that I couldn't. The only places we went yesterday was Vehicle Inspection on base, Pass and ID and Church. Upon leaving the house for Church, Bo discovered that he had misplaced his wallet and couldn't find it. We automatically assumed that he lost it the same way he did in Padova ( city coming back from Verona.) Bo had placed his wallet in between his legs upon driving up to the toll both when he had not pulled up close he had to open the door and when he did so he turn his body towards the door and the wallet fell out of his lap and onto the ground. To make a long story short, a lady pulled up behind us, found the wallet and turned it in. The Italian police saw that Bo's military ID was in there and mailed it to our base.

So today when Bo go up (he's on mid's) he asked if I was up to going on base and retracing our steps to see if it could possibly still be on the ground. So we went to Pass and ID first because we called Vehicle Inspection and they looked around and said that they didn't see anything and would notify us if the wallet were to show up. So we drove over to Pass and ID and there was no wallet. Bo wanted to try and go to Vehicle Inspection and I told him there was no need, the person who helped us yesterday with our inspection SrA Metts said that she didn't see anything but he wanted to go back and see for his self.

I drove back over to Vehicle Inspection and dropped him off knowing that the wallet was not there and that it had probably fell out of his lap in the parking lot of Pass and ID just like it had in Padova. As I am watching him run into the Inspection shop I see him bend down and pick up something, mind you there is a car lifted on the lift. The reason Bo was able to find his wallet was because it had fallen down into the crack of the lift and when the lady looked for it earlier when we had called she couldn't see it because of the lift being down and covering it. Bo high-fived the lady and came running back to the Jeep waving his wallet in the air.

So today I am thankful that we serve a God that our provisions and prayers are always being met!

  1. You are very fortunate that the lady behind you at the toll turned in his wallet and it was sent to base. Its always a sinking, devistating feeling when you lose your wallet. Sergio had his stolen while we were in Italy and its a horrible feeling. So glad he found it a second time!
