Home Is Where The Air Force Sends Us

So our official new home is Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM. I have been pestering Bo for days now about when we would finally get our orders since our travel itinerary/port call date information came out last Friday. I was so excited to see on paper that we would be leaving here Sept 1 and finally arriving in Clovis, NM on Sept 2, after many plane changes.

It's really beginning to set in that the home in which we have made for ourselves for the past 2 1/2 years is really coming to a end. We have a plaque in our hallway that says "Home is where the Air Force sends us" and below it has some wire hangers to hang different stars that have each base where you have lived names written on it. So far for us it just says Aviano, Italy. Which sadly enough will be over in just 8 short Sundays < that's how I have been counting down :) I have met a very nice girl through a wonderful mutual friend and it has been so nice corresponding with her for the last few months about the local area and her local church. I can't imagine starting all over again with a whole group of new people but that's exactly what we will be doing before long. I pray the Lord surrounds us with Godly men and women who love us and our family and who will help make this transition a smooth and easy one. The Lord has blessed us already in so many ways especially with our church family here that we will be all too thrilled to have it happen again. I pray that they always know that they are never being replaced, only added to in our hearts! Bo is going tomorrow to start the process of housing, tmo, fmo, all the fun wonderful many to-do's in order to out process this base. I wish I could help take some of these heavy burdens away from him but he is the one who wears the stripes and because of that he is all alone on this one. I pray that the Lord will give me the strength and the wisdom I need to help be the helpmeet God created me to be!
